Britney Spears Conservatorship: Father Jamie Spears Asks L.A. Judge For HOW Much More Money?

Five years old, Britney Spears was placed under conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, allowing him control over her career, personal life and estate, but now the famous dad is asking a judge for more money, the Huffington Post reports.

According to court documents recently obtained by RadarOnline, Jamie claims he needs additional funds to help care for his 31-year-old daughter, having written a petition for the money on Oct. 15 asking a judge to increase his compensation.

Jamie is already paid $16,000 a month for his duties, and receives an additional $1,200 each month to pay rent for his Los Angeles office space that acts as a "secure location that is dedicated to Britney's activities," though he claims the rent has escalated over the last three years.

"I continue to perform services to protect and care for Britney's person and to administer her estate in good faith and in her best interests," Jamie writes. "I continue to have significant oversight duties relating to her visitation with her children."

Jamie is only asking the judge for more money to pay for rent on his office space, and though he already makes $192,000 a year to look after his daughter, Britney has an estimated net worth of $220 million, which according to TMZ documents, it looks as if someone is watching over carefully. In 2012, Britney's conservatorship earned about $14 million and spent only $6.8 million.

Having recently signed on for a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, which she will begin on Dec. 27, Britney is expected to be under conservatorship for at least two more years. Her newest album, "Britney Jean," is said to be her most personal yet, and hits stores on Dec. 3.

"I'm really stoked about it. I've toured the world so many times and had been in different hotels every night. It's going to be nice to have one place to be at for my children and my family," Britney told 95-106 Capital FM in a recent interview.
