2K Sports finally released another “NBA 2K14” next-gen trailer today and once again the game is looking really good.
The video, which lasted a little over a minute and a half, featured gameplay footage for the PlayStation 4. The gameplay included a monster block from LeBron, a smooth three pointer from James Harden and a reverse jam from Anthony Davis. Also included was some bench footage, i.e. Kobe talking to his teammates and some of the Houston Rockets getting up after a big three.
2K has already made significant steps in the current-gen version on “NBA 2K14” and this video provides a bit of anticipation for its next-gen counterpart. However, what does 2K have planned to expand on the next-gen version?
In “NBA 2K14” for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, we got more signature skills, enhanced defense and the Pro Stick. We expect all of that and more in the next gen version of the game.
I want to see the dev team really use the capabilities of the two new systems, especially in the off-court aspects of the game. For example, I’ve always wanted a halftime show.
One of the points of playing a sports video game is to get the entire experience. There are times when you’re going to want to feel like you’re in the arena. However, there are also times you’re going to want what every player eventually wants—to see himself on SportsCenter, or at least a NBA 2K version of it.
What would you like to see put in the next-gen version of “NBA 2K14”? (Comment Below)
“NBA 2K14” release for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 22 and Nov. 15, respectively.
