Tyra Banks started her own ABC daytime talk show "FABLife" about two months ago, but the model already has plans to leave so she can focus more on her cosmetic career.
"This is a very difficult decision, but necessary," she told The Hollywood Reporter on scaling back on her daytime duties. "I will be devoting my time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company's other entertainment ventures. I will however continue to support the growth and success of FABLife and greatly admire my fellow co-stars and the talented production team behind the show."
Banks, 41, co-hosted the show with model Chrissy Teigen, fashion editor Joe Zee, interior designer Lauren Makk and YouTube star Leah Ashley. She will remain the executive producer through December, but as of now, there are no plans to replace her as one of the hosts.
"@tyrabeauty is all about being the CEO of your life, creating amazing opportunities and sagging when others zig," she captioned a photo that reads "Follow your fire" on Instagram Friday. "I've made an executive decision to keep following my heart and spend more time focusing on my army of entrepreneurs, my Beautytainers, so we can bring the power of transformation to people everywhere...What you put into your biz is what you will get out of it, and I'm doubling down and working even harder for YOU."
This news comes about a month after Banks' made the announcement that her long-running hit show "America's Next Top Model" would be ending after the current season, as HNGN previously reported. At the time, Banks wrote a lengthy Instagram caption thanking her diehard fans for sticking around through all 22 cycles.
"It's time. It really is. Wow, I am SO proud of what Top Model has done," she wrote. "I never thought my little idea would have people everywhere thinking differently about how they take photos. And I never thought we'd do 22 cycles."
