It’s apparent from the premiere that Queen Catherine (Megan Follows) has one wish—Keep Mary (Adelaide Kane) from marrying Francis (Tony Regbo). Now that I’ve seen the pilot, I have a few wishes of my own for The CW’s new drama:
No. 1—Please stop the King Henry and Kenna Affair
I wanted to get this one out of the way because its ridiculously is disturbing. I know King Henry (Alan Van Spring) is a player but please leave the young girls alone—it’s weird.
No. 2—Team Mary/Francis
I like Bash (Torrance Coombs). He seems like a really cool guy. However, it’s obvious that Mary and Francis love each other and want to be together. They should really forget about their hesitations and just get married. Who cares about Scotland and France? They’ll be OK.
No. 3—No M=magic for Mary
I am a fan of the allusions at magic in the show. It could become a very important part of the plot. However, I hope the writers don’t turn mary into a witch of anything like that. I would prefer if magic was used around her—not by her. (Maybe her secret friend could have magic?)
No. 4—Mary learns how to fight
While I don’t want Mary to have magic, she should definitely learn how to handle a sword or a bow. It would be cool to see her take down anyone that tries to kidnap her or attack her.
“Reign” airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.
