FX has renewed its anthology series, "Fargo," for a third installment. Created by Noah Hawley, the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning show is inspired by Joel and Ethan Coen's 1996 film of the same name and currently in its second season.
"Year two of 'Fargo' is an extraordinary achievement and, given Noah Hawley's masterful storytelling, we can't wait to see where the third, all-new version of 'Fargo' takes us," said Eric Schrier, Co-President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions.
"Fargo" airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. on FX.

"Empire" Stars to Host Fox Holiday Special Event
Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard will host Fox's "Taraji and Terrence's White Hot Holidays," an all-new music and variety special on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 9 p.m. The show will feature a duet between the "Empire" leads and modern performances of classic holiday songs by Mary J. Blige, John Legend and Jamie Foxx, among other surprise guests and performances.
The CW Orders Additional Episodes of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "iZombie"
The CW has ordered five additional episodes of its freshmen comedy, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," for a season total of 18 episodes, according to Deadline. Sophomore series, "iZombie," also received another six episodes to bring Rob Thomas' zombie dramedy up to 19 episodes total.
Production Starts on Tom Hardy's FX/BBC One Series 'Taboo"
Tom Hardy has begun filming on the new FX/BBC One limited drama series, "Taboo," in London this week. The show is based on an original story by Hardy and his father, Chips Hardy, who also serves as the show's consulting producer.
The eight-episode series stars "The Dark Knight Rises" actor as the protagonist James Keziah Delaney who returns to 1814 London after 10 years in Africa to discover that he has been left a mysterious legacy by his father. Driven to wage war on those who have wronged him, Delaney finds himself in a face-off against the East India Company, while playing a dangerous game between two warring nations - Britain and America.
Matt Bomer to Star in Amazon Pilot "The Last Tycoon"
Amazon Studios has tapped Matt Bomer to star in its latest pilot production, "The Last Tycoon," based on the final unfinished novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, according to Deadline. "Captain Phillips" scribe Billy Ray wrote the script and will direct the pilot.
"The Last Tycoon" is inspired by the life of film mogul Irving Thalberg, who is the basis of the book's protagonist, Monroe Stahr. The story centers on Stahr, Hollywood's first wunderkind studio executive in the 1930s as he climbs to the height of power pitting him against his mentor and current head of the studio Pat Brady, a character based on Louis B. Mayer. It also revolves around violence, sex and towering ambition found in 1930s Hollywood.
CBS Developing 1970s Police Drama "Soul Patrol"
CBS is developing a new police drama from mega-producer Aaron Kaplan called, "Soul Patrol," according to Variety. The series will revolve around "a unique, highly effective task force comprised entirely of African-American police officers, which was assembled in the early 1970s by the Boston Police Commissioner to more effectively prevent and solve crimes in previously neglected areas of the city."
WGN Releases First Teaser for New Series "Underground"
WGN released the first teaser clip for its upcoming series, "Underground," set to premiere in 2016. The show tells the story of a group of slaves who plan a daring escape from a Georgia plantation to cross 600 miles to freedom.
