USA Network’s “White Collar” returned Thursday and although I like the show, the season premiere proved this season would be more of the same:
--Neal steals something for a seemingly reasonable purpose
--Peter suspects Neal of stealing something and tries to figure out why
--Peter takes precautions with Neal due to his suspicions.
--They both spend the series being suspicious that the other knows they’re up to something
Despite the redundancy, the plot still leaves us with a few questions:
No. 1—When will the Dutchman strike?
The Dutchman has Neal on a string. How far will he go with Neal? What does he want from Neal?
No. 2—When will enough be enough?
Every season Peter has forgiven Neal. He even forgave him after Neal’s actions put Elizabeth in danger. I want Neal and Peter got get past this current situation but will this time be that last straw?
No. 3—Will Peter figure out Neal’s issues before its too late?
We expect Peter to eventually figure out Neal’s predicament. But how much will Neal have done for the Dutchman before Peter discovers what’s happening? Will he be able to save Neal?
No. 4—Will the fake recording cost Peter not only his job but his freedom?
I’m guessing someone will discover the recording’s a fake. Will Peter be able to keep it under wraps? Will he want to? Will Neal’s father return and ruin things?
“White Collar” airs Thursdays at 9/8c on USA.
