Beckett finally came to her senses last night on "Castle" and realized she needs her husband more than ever if she wants to solve the LockSat mystery. Castle hesitated a moment before accepting his wife's apology, but chose to forgive her as they keep their reconciliation a secret from the outside world.
In public, the couple will maintain their break up as they privately work the LockSat investigation together. The dangerous job ahead and Beckett's captain responsibilities will leave little time for the couple to consider adding kids into the equation.
"There are no plans for a baby," co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter told TVLine.
Co-showrunner Alexi Hawley added, "This was a question that came up at the beginning of the season, and for us, at least right now, we don't know how the show would work like that. I understand that other shows have done that, but for us, because Beckett is so 'boots on the ground,' kicking ass and taking names, it's hard to imagine what a pregnant Beckett solving cases looks like."
Winter and Hawley have not ruled out a Caskett baby in the future, but "there's nothing planned for anytime soon."
"Castle" will return from its winter hiatus on Monday, Feb. 1 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
