Adele continued her quest to take over the world Tuesday morning when she stopped by "Today" to give everyone a pre-Thanksgiving treat. The British singer performed her beautiful ballad "Million Years Ago," talked about her son and also the possibility of streaming "25" with Matt Lauer.
"It's pretty overwhelming, but it's incredible," Adele said of the response to "25," her first album in four years. "I feel like I knew of knew what I was getting into this time. Not that I was expecting this kind of reaction, but because I'd experienced the success of 21, I was a little less frightened this time...So, I felt a bit more prepared for it."
She also noted that since her last album, she had a child and he gave her a great perspective about all the craziness that surrounded her.
"My kid comes first, and my music comes second-and I come second," she told Lauer.
"My son comes everywhere with me. We're all good," she said. "He's the first person I see in the morning, and the last person I see at night, and vice versa...I make time for him like I always have."
While Adele's music may come second to her son, the results have still been amazing. Her third album "25" already broke the record for single-week U.S. album sales record when she sold an incredible 2,433,000 albums in just over three days, as HNGN previously reported, all without releasing "25" on streaming platforms.
While Adele blocked the record from being streamed initially, she said "25" would "probably" be on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music at some point in the future, just like "21" was, according to E! News. Fans who don't want to buy the album may have to wait awhile to stream her new record, due to the fact that "21" was available to stream a long 18 months after it was released.
