The Colorado Avalanche visit the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast HERE or watch the live stream HERE.
With 14 points each, both teams go into Monday's game looking for their eighth win. The Penguins (7-1-0) have ridden Sidney Crosby's terrific start to the top of the Eastern Conference. Crosby already has seven goals and 10 assists, and goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has held his own on defense by allowing just 1.84 goals per game.
"I think as a group, we're finding ways to win," Crosby told reporters, via ESPN. "(Saturday) wasn't our best game, but (Fleury) shut the door when we needed him to and we found some ways to get back in the game. We still want to get better."
Colorado, meanwhile, has improved this season with the addition of rookie Nathan MacKinnon. The Avalanche (7-1-0) is undefeated on the road, adding to the team's confidence.
"We were talking in here that this team doesn't lose two in a row," Avalanche center Matt Duchene told reporters, via ESPN. "Right now, we're rolling, we're feeling good. We've got to get as many points as we can because we're going to go through some adversity in the season and we've got to be ready for it."
Duchene trails Crosby's season total by one goal. Duchene, along with Ryan O'Reilly's three goals and three assists, have helped Colorado to its quick start.
"(Duchene and O'Reilly) have been dominant, to be honest with you," said first-year Avalanche coach Patrick Roy. "What I like about them is the consistency that they're bringing every night. That's a good sign of maturity. They start to get mature and they show a lot of poise and good things out there."
