If The Spoiling Dead Fans are to be believed (I have to admit, they have been very accurate this season), Episode 608 "Start to Finish" will see the death of Alexandria Safe Zone leader Deanna. That's unfortunate, as her character was finally starting to accept the harsh realities of the apocalypse, but it is fitting with the storyline. It's nice to know she goes out with her boots on.
It also sounds as if Father Gabriel will start making up for his past transgressions. Truthfully, Father Gabriel's arc has dragged ever since season five and just isn't important to the overall story. But I guess it's nice to see him achieve some measure of redemption.
But what we're really looking forward to is the inevitable conflict between Morgan and Carol. There isn't enough room for their conflicting ideologies in this new world. Morgan is morally sound in his desire to preserve all life, but his approach just isn't realistic or safe for the world he lives in. Carol's cutthroat approach is effective and helpful but can also lead down a dark path if left unchecked. They are both right and they are both wrong for different reasons, and it will be interesting to see how that plays out on screen.
The mid-season finale for "The Walking Dead" will air this Sunday at 9 p.m. on AMC.
