Christmas spirit will soon fill the White House with the arrival of White House Christmas tree that was received by the first lady herself, Michelle Obama, along with the presidential dogs, Bo and Sunny.
The Fraser fir stands 18.5 feet tall and will be displayed in the Blue Room of the White House throughout the holidays, according to The Huffington Post.
Chosen as the winning tree at a national contest for the White House Christmas tree, the tree was grown by Jay and Glenn Bustard in a farm in Lansdale, Pa., USA Today reported.
"This is the tree that we use to honor our military, our main tree, and we're looking forward to it being the focal point of the decorations this year," said the first lady, according to Fox News.
The lighting of an official White House Christmas tree was started in 1923 by U.S. President Calvin Coolidge. President Obama will be lighting this year's National Christmas Tree on Dec. 3.
