Welcome to motherhood, Coco Austin! The 36-year-old media personality and her husband Ice-T welcomed their first child together - a baby girl named Chanel Nicole, Us Weekly reported. Coco reportedly gave birth Saturday afternoon at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, N.J.
The new mommy announced her newborn's arrival on social media Saturday and posted a photo of her new bundle of joy.
"Surprise!!! Look who came early!!" she wrote on Facebook and Instagram. "Welcome the new arrival of Chanel Nicole.. A beautiful healthy 5.7 pound and 18 inch baby girl. Ice and I are so proud! I cried while she was coming out I was so excited to meet her!"
Ice-T, 57, posted the same photo, with the caption, "Ladies and Gentlemen! Please allow me to introduce to the World.... Baby Chanel 5.7 pounds. Love is Love."
Just three hours before announcing the birth, Coco posted a photo on Instagram of herself touching her baby bump while standing next to her fully decorated Christmas tree. "My 37-week bump!! This baby is coming early a mothers intuition... #ChanelNicole is trying to make her appearance," she captioned the post.
"Strange thing is I will miss her inside of me.. I really enjoyed the experience," she added. "My goal was to make pregnancy look positive, fashionable, cute, fit and healthy every step of the way. There were a lot of unbelievers along the way but honestly I'm used to that. Thanks to all the lovers that have been interested with my journey from the beginning and also a true 'Coco Fan.' I wish I could hug everyone of you."
The couple announced in July that they were expecting their first child together on the premiere episode of their talk show "Ice & Coco." Coco admitted on her show that doctors once told her that her body's blood pressure was too high, making it unhealthy for her to carry a baby.
Since announcing her pregnancy, Coco has been forced to defend her pregnancy body from Internet trolls who criticized the small size of her baby bump. Coco said in a blog she wrote for E! News that she was tired of the comments about her baby bump and her health.
"In response to the critics of my small baby bump, the thing is I constantly ask my doctor, 'Am I healthy? Is the baby healthy? What is going on? Have you seen this before?''' she wrote. "My doctor says yes, athletes look like this all the time because they have such strong abs muscles that it takes longer for a bump to pop out."
