Comedy power couple Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele are engaged! The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star and "Key & Peele" alum announced the exciting news of their engagement over Twitter this weekend.
The funny man first announced the news on his own Twitter account and simply tweeted a diamond ring emoji alongside Peretti's personal Twitter handle.
"My fiancé (lololol) @JordanPeele proposed to me last night during the family talent show lolol," Peretti soon tweeted after to her more than 450,000 followers on Saturday.
Peele and Peretti, two of the biggest names in comedy, had been dating for more than two years, according to E! Online, and met each other through the Internet.
"Me and Jordan also met on the Internet, on Twitter," Peretti told Entertainment Weekly. "He was very complimentary of the Web series I once did."
A slew of comedy heavy weights, including Mindy Kaling, Seth Green, Jason Mitchell, and Peretti's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" co-star Melissa Fumero, all took to Twitter to congratulate the couple on their upcoming nuptials. Even the official Twitter account for Peretti's Golden Globe-winning series congratulated the couple on their engagement.
"THANK U TELEVISION SHOW TWITTER ACCOUNT," Peretti responded.
