Lindsey Vonn has nothing but love for her ex-boyfriend, Tiger Woods. During a new interview with CNN's Alpine Edge, the 2018 Olympics hopeful is opened up about her three-year relationship with Woods, admitting in the interview that she still loves him and has no regrets about their time together.
"I mean, I loved him and I still love him," the 31-year-old Olympic skier told CNN. "I had an amazing three years with him. Sometimes things just don't work out and unfortunately, it didn't work out for us. But I don't have any regrets and I think we're both in a pretty good place."
Vonn and Woods meet in 2012 at a charity event but did not go public with their relationship until March 2013. Ultimately, the couple ended their relationship in May 2015, citing their "hectic lifestyles" as the reason behind their split six months ago.
At the time, Vonn wrote on Facebook that she would "always cherish the memories" that she and Woods created together. Vonn marked Woods' first high-profile relationship following his 2010 divorce from Swedish model Elin Nordegren.
The two quickly shut down rumors that the 40-year-old professional golfer had cheated on Vonn with a "faceless-nameless woman."
Vonn called her relationship with Woods a "learning experience," according to the New York Times.
For now, the four-time World Cup champion said she isn't looking for a new relationship anytime soon and just wants to focus on her racing career. She had to sit out the 2014 Winter Olympics after a serious knee injury, but has recently returned to the slopes.
"I'm enjoying just kind of focusing on myself right now," she confessed. "I've realized that I only have, realistically, three good years of racing left. So it's kind of nice to just focus on that and focus on my career. But I don't know, you never know what's going to happen."
"I just want to keep winning races. That's really my only goal," she continued.
