'American Horror Story: Coven': Jessica Lange Will End Show Run After Season 4? Ryan Murphy Skeptical About Her Decision?

Jessica Lange decided it was time to end her run in the FX series "American Horror Story," the show she credits for revitalizing her career.

The 64-year-old actress has the ability to transform herself into any characters she plays; she's believable and incredible to watch. She could very easily continue growing her career, but she sees an end in site.

"I am coming to the end of acting," Lange told the Los Angeles Times. "I have a list: another stage production, maybe one or two more movies, one more season of 'American Horror Story' ... and then that is it for me. Because I think that's enough. I want to go out with a bang ... or should I say, a scare?"

According to the Times, Lange has be in the industry for over forty years. Lange has earned herself an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a SAG award in 2012 with her role of Constance Langdon in the first season of "American Horror Story."

"It reenergized me; it reenergized my career," Lange said.

The show is now in its third season where she portrays Fiona Goode, the "Supreme" witch in "American Horror Story: Coven." Lange opened up to BuzzFeed about her latest character in the series.

"The spine of the character is that thing of a wasted life," Lange says. "The idea that this woman has gone through life basically like a bulldozer, in the most selfish, self-centric fashion. Things just falling by the wayside. Now, she's at a moment in her life where she's confronted by all these things - her mortality; the fact that maybe she's alone and what did she discard on the way, like her daughter, that could bring something meaningful, but it's too late. That Portrait of Dorian Gray element fascinates me: What do you trade off for this idea of eternal youth and beauty and how much are you willing to sell for that? How much of your soul are you willing to give up?"

However, the show's creator Ryan Murphy said in a recent interview Lange keeps telling him the next season will be her final season, but ends up signing up for more.

"Every year, she says, 'OK, that's my last one.' But she's already committed to the fourth series. I can see American Horror Story going 10 years, 12 years, 15 years. I think it's limitless because it re-energizes every year, and I would love for Jessica Lange to be part of it every year," Murphy told the Hollywood Reporter.

Do you think season for will be Lange's final with the "American Horror Story" series?
