Former "Arrow" star Colton Haynes recently opened up about his longtime struggles with anxiety in order to assure his fans that they were not alone.
The actor shared an article from Upvote that discussed the relationship between anxiety and social status and then discussed his 15-year battle with "intense anxiety" in a series of tweets late Tuesday night.
"For those of you who are suffering with intense anxiety...ur not alone," he wrote on his Twitter account. "It's been a constant struggle for me since 5th grade. It's a battle."
"Whether it be fainting, hyperventilating, or seizures... I've been through it," he tweeted. "Just know ur not alone & it affects more ppl than you would ever know. We can overcome this. We can fight thru it & will."
Haynes revealed that while his problems have affected his personal health, they have also damaged both his personal and professional life.
"I've quite jobs because of anxiety, flaked on social events, family gatherings, birthdays, important movie/work tests. Its a serious problem," he wrote.
The actor, who was previously on MTV's "Teen Wolf" and got his career started modeling for Abercrombie & Fitch, ended his series of tweets by asking his followers to "be there for those who struggle with anxiety & realize its a serious disorder."
"Love those suffering. Anxiety has caused me to be extremely agoraphobic & livin in constant fear of leavin my house at times. Ur not alone," he finished.
