Giovinco's play with Toronto FC resulted in the Italian being recalled to play with the national team in October for the first time in over a year. Giovinco is expected to join the Italian national team again for Euro 2016 in France, according to Paddy Agnew.
Toronto FC qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 2015, thanks in large part to the play of Giovinco. Despite the success on the pitch, there is still seom unsatisfied feelings about the way the season ended.
"The thing that I would change is, for sure, the playoff game just because it was a very important game. The city and everyone was waiting for it. But now this is the past, so we will be ready for next year," Giovinco said.
