Four-time Grammy award winner Lil Wayne told fans he is "OK," Fox News reported on Monday.
This comes after Wayne was hospitalized for a seizure on Friday, scaring many of his supporters and sending the Twitter world into a frenzy.
Phrases such as #lilwaynedying and #lilwayneinacoma were just some of the trending topics on Friday.
However, Wayne, whose birth name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, reportedly sent out a tweet of his own to put everyone at ease.
"I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love," he said.
According to the Associated Press, a source close to the rapper said Wayne had a history of seizures and has visited the hospital multiple times.
Controversy arose when conflicting reports surfaced over the rappers health condition.
After Wayne's seemingly encouraging tweet, TMZ reported that "he was in critical condition, but stabilizing." The site previously reported the New Orleans native was in an induced coma before entering critical condition.
"Wayne is sleeping right now ... which is odd, because he just tweeted saying he's OK and thanking people for the prayers and love," the site said in an update at 6:30 PM PT.
The website also reported that Wayne had been rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after multiple seizures.
"He was released Wednesday but just hours later one of his bodyguards found him in his room, on the floor and unconscious," they said.
Sources told them, high amounts of codeine were found in the his system. Fox made calls to the hospital, but they were not returned.
According to an article by the Huffington Post, real controversy began when TMZ reported that Wayne had been read his last rites. TMZ has since taken that report off of its website.
Rapper T.I. attacked TMZ through Twitter on Friday, calling them names and uttering expletives.
"That man's daughter is like mines," he said in a tweet.
Lil Wayne's new album "I Am Not A Human Being" is set to release March 26.
