Tina Fey and Amy Poehler want movie audiences to know one thing before having to choose between their movie, "Sisters," and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Dec. 18 - "You can see them both."
Fey and Poehler pushed their message in a hilarious new video, "The Farce Awakens," which spoofs the behind-the-scenes "Star Wars" footage shown at San Diego Comic-Con 2015. Matched almost perfectly with the Comic-Con Reel, the "Sisters" parody features its own behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the stars as well as cameos from screenwriter Paula Pell and director, "J.J.-ason" Moore.
Ike Barinholtz jokes about having a "Sisters" lunchbox growing up, Maya Rudolph does her best (but terrible) impression of Chewbacca while wearing a gorilla costume, and Fey shares her bra size, "R2-D2." They also poke fun at the "Star Wars" fandom by dressing up "Star Trek" actor George Takei as Darth Vader and having him utter those famous words, "Luke, I am your father."
Calm down, people! It's just a joke.
Watch the video below and remember: #YouCanSeeThemBoth.
"Sisters" AND "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hit theaters on Friday, Dec. 18.
