Tiffany Thornton Breaks Silence on Chris Carney's Death: He's 'The Most Incredible Person I've Ever Known'

Tiffany Thornton is still mourning the death of her husband Chris Carney, who was tragically killed in a car crash on Friday. The 29-year-old grieving actress posted a picture of her late husband smiling while holding their two sons - 3-year-old Kenneth James "KJ" Carney and 21-month-old Bentley Cash Carney - during a family trip to a lake.

"My life. My love. My angel," she captioned the Instagram photo Saturday.

Thornton's social media page was flooded with words of encouragement and condolences from fans who let the actress know that she was in their prayers.

Carney, 35, and a male friend identified as Ezekiel Blanton were driving westbound on Highway 70 East in Garland County, Ark., Friday when the car "flew off the road while going around a bend and slammed into a tree," as previously reported by HNGN. Both men were found dead at the scene, TMZ reported.

Carney, a former member of rock band The Prom Kings and son of Hot Springs mayor Ruth Carney, married Tiffany in 2011.

Thornton, who is now a radio personality on local station KLAZ 105.9, posted a photo from her and Chris' wedding, along with a lengthy personal message about her husband on Instagram.

"There are so many things I want you to know about Chris but most importantly you must know how earnestly he pursued the Lord, especially in the past year," Thornton wrote. "No one is perfect in this world and we all have our battles, but it's the way we get back on our feet and turn it around that really counts. And he did it. He was so on fire for God and I know he flew straight into the arms of Jesus, his best friend."

Thornton's message went on to declare her husband's love for God along with asking fans to seek redemption in God. She also talked about falling in love with her husband "all over again this past year" and mention his recent trip to Peru with his father where Carney "shared his beautiful testimony and brought so many people to the Lord."

"He finished writing, directing, producing and editing his first Christian film and he and I got to star in it together as love interests who end up getting married," she wrote.

"He was THE BEST father my children could ever have, an incredibly loving and sensitive husband, a wonderful brother and amazing son," she continued. "He is already so dearly missed, but I promise to spend the rest of my life sharing his testimony so that those who feel they have no place or have come from a place of struggle can learn that the love of the Lord can save us all."

Thornton revealed that a remembrance service for Carney will be held on Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Arkansas. "Thank you for your continued prayers for our family as we grieve the loss of my best friend Chris, the most incredible person I've ever had the blessing of knowing," Thornton concluded.
