Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed exclusive content for "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" available for PlayStation 4.
According to Sony's new ad about their next-gen console, AC4 will have 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay. The next installment will be available for the PS3 on Oct. 29. (Check it out the video ad here)
However, will there be enough of a difference for gamers to want to purchase AC4 for their PS4? The Verge reports the next-gen console version of AC4 doesn't differ much from the PS3 version.
"For all the hype surrounding the new consoles, it's not entirely clear just what it is that will make next-generation games different from the experiences we can play right now," The Verge reports. "And Black Flag is a perfect example of this: aside from the slick new next-generation coat of paint, there isn't a whole lot to separate the different versions."
AC4's associate producer Sylvain Trottier told The Verge the company wasn't necessarily focused on making a "better" version of the next title for the PS4.
"It was important to us to make sure that we don't end up with two different games," Trottier said.
"We already mastered the current generation," Trottier added. "Our engineers know their way around all of the issues, we have a lot of experience with it."
According to The Verge, there is no difference in the actual gameplay between PS3 and PS4. However, there are "neat tricks" that make the game look "better." This also holds true for the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One versions.
"For us, it was a fundamental law: this is the same game, no matter what platform it's on," Trottier said.
Sony's PS4 will launch on Nov. 15 and Microsoft's Xbox One will be released on Nov. 22.
