Samsung ATIV Neo S To be Offered For $99 On AT&T From November 8

Samsung ATIV Neo S, the first Windows 8 phone from the South Korea based tech giant, will be offered by AT & T at a throw away price of $99.99 on signing a two-year contract with the mobile carrier. The offer can also be availed on a monthly rental of $21.00.

"We are excited to add the Samsung Ativ S Neo with its large, sharp 4.77" HD display and expandable microSD memory to our best-in-class Windows Phone portfolio," said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of AT&T, in a recent post on the official website. The offer will be introduced early next month, November 8.

The Windows phone by Samsung does not have impressive features like the Android devices from Samsung. The device has a 4.77-inch display with a resolution output of 1280 X 720 megapixels, powered by a dual core 1.4 GHZ processor. The phone sports an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.9 MP front camera. In terms of storage, it supports 16GB internal memory with an external memory slot, expandable up to 64GB.

AT&T is expecting a good launch from the phone. "The ATIV S Neo brings together Samsung's sleek design, AT&T's blazing fast 4G LTE network and the award-winning Windows Phone 8 operating system. Now, customers can get their favorite features all in a single package," said AT& T in a statement. The phone will carry the added ATIV Beam that facilitates smoother file transfer between compatible devices and complementary 5GB online storage via AT&T locker.

It is touted as the best environment-friendly Windows phone from Samsung scoring five out five on the AT&T eco-rating system with its minimal consumption of energy. The Samsung Windows phone is also being offered on another popular U.S. mobile carrier, Sprint, showing the earnest efforts on Samsung's end to promote its Windows devices as much as possible. AT&T has not revealed any details about pre orders for the device as of now, reports phonedog.

AT&T also disclosed its future plans about its growing LTE services. The LTE service is presently being offered across several U. S. states like Hawaii, Illinois and South California.
