Gamers will be witnessing the biggest console race between Microsoft and Sony next month. And eager players who have pre-ordered the PS4 console from Amazon are panicking as they fear not receiving the console on time.
Many PS4 buyers are reporting that the Amazon Payment gateway is repeatedly asking buyers to update their banking details. People who used old bank details for their pre-order and need to change them can do it now without the fear of being put back in the que, their old order still holds true.
Some buyers vented their anxiety on the official Amazon forums. A few shared tales of Customer Service effectively saying 'sorry, there's nothing we can do,' there were also some who were assured that their PS4 delivery date was safe, reveals a recent post on Eurogamer
Amazon has assured it's buyers that the change in the payment details, is not going to affect any pre-orders, and the console will be delivered to the customers on time.
"Amazon customers who ordered the PS4 for release day delivery will receive it on day of release," said Amazon in a statement reports GameInsider. Later when Amazon was asked if this also applies for those who have had updated or changed their payment details, Amazon answered: "That's still correct."
Eurogamer has also received multiple emails overnight from Amazon customers "who'd noticed the shop verifying their payment details tied to their often months-old PS4 pre-order."
Since the biggest online retailer giant itself has guaranteed the consoles will get delivered on time and that the changes in payment methods are not going to hamper the schedule it seems the gamers are panicking unnecessarily.
Sony's PlayStation 4 is currently scheduled to release on Nov. 15 in North America and Nov. 29, 2013 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
