Kate Gosselin and her brood of eight are back with a new season of the hit TLC reality TV series "Kate Plus 8," People reported. And while the mom has her hands full with raising her children, she's decided she's ready to get back into the dating scene - just as her teenage daughters Mady and Cara are entering it.
The cameras captured the family's summer moments, like the party Kate threw to celebrate the completion of the new second-story deck she had built for the family's home, according to footage in the official TLC trailer. The 11-year-old boys (three out of the set of sextuplets Kate shares with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin) were treated to a private magic lesson, and the whole family embarked on a vacation to Florida. That's where Kate caught her 15-year-old twins Cara and Mady, whom Kate also shares with ex Jon, flirting with three teenage boys on the beach.
"I can't deal with it," Kate said in a sneak peek obtained by People. "That moment is etched in my mind forever because I was like, 'No, this is not OK with me.'"
Kate's two oldest daughters, Mady and Cara, explained that the boys walked up to them and asked about the cameras. Mady said she simply explained that they were filming her family's show and invited the boys to tune in.
"So, hi! If you're watching, since I told you to watch," Mady says, giggling into the camera.
But Mady and Cara aren't the only ones doing a little flirting. Kate is also ready to get back onto the dating scene six years after the divorce from her ex-husband was finalized.
Kate is seen in the trailer getting ready for her first blind date, and she recently opened up to E! News about how strange it was for her to enter the dating world after more than a decade of being married, then divorced and single.
"We had pagers, remember 143?" she said, explaining how she and Jon used to communicate when they first got together in the pre-smart phone era, and referred to the beeper code for "I love you."
"It's a completely different world, and I'm sure that every single parent who finds themselves eventually dating again would also agree that it's just weird and exciting but strange," she told E! News.
