Rain washed out their fourth ODI, and the weather is likely to wash out the fifth ODI.

"It rained heavily the pitches are covered with a width of 30ft and are intact. If the rain stops today, we can get the ground ready," local curator Pankaj Patnaik, said on Friday, according to India Today.

Australia skipper George Bailey saw the stadium pitch at Cuttack on Wednesday and didn't sound optimistic about the chances of playing on Saturday.

"It looks like it's pretty wet in Cuttack too," Bailey said, via Yahoo. "There's a couple of pictures going around where the ground is half under water. Hopefully, that can clear up in the next couple of days."

If the fifth ODI takes place on Saturday, India will enter the match looking to even the series at two games apiece. India will look for a better performance from their bowlers, who've seemingly been unable to restrict Australia's runs.

Australia, meanwhile, has a 2-1 lead in the series. The big question mark for the squad has been the inconsistent play from its batters, IB Times reports.
