Amy Schumer has been named People magazine's most "intriguing" person of 2015. The actress and comedian has had quite the year, from winning an Emmy award for Comedy Central's "Inside Amy Schumer" to topping the box office with rom-com "Trainwreck," but according to the "Mostly Sex Stuff" writer, her greatest moment this year was hosting "Saturday Night Live."
"Hosting 'Saturday Night Live' was the highlight of my year," she said, according to People. "It was a dream come true."
Schumer, who features on the tabloid's cover, recently grabbed headlines by posing nude for the Annie Leibovitz-shot Pirelli calendar, as HNGN previously reported. The actress and comedian is also co-writing a script with BFF Jennifer Lawrence, and the pair will play sisters in the film.
Schumer has not only made a name in comedy but has also become an advocate for gun control legislation. She teamed up with her cousin, New York Senator Chuck Schumer, to call for stricter gun control laws after a deadly shooting took place during a screening of her film, "Trainwreck" in Lafayette, La. earlier this year, according to a previous HNGN report.
Other celebrities who made People's list of 25 most intriguing people this year are new couple and "The Voice" co-stars Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, "Dancing with the Stars" alum Bindi Irwin and Caitlyn Jenner, according to New York Daily News.
The list also features two comeback stars, Adele, whose new album "25" continues to break records in its second week and Tracy Morgan, who returned to "SNL" after a car crash in 2014, that left him severely injured.
