Taylor Hill Opens Up About Bullying: 'I Didn't Exist In High School'

Taylor Hill may have just earned her wings as a Victoria's Secret Angel, but she wasn't always celebrated for her height and looks, Cosmopolitan reported. During an event at a Victoria's Secret "Shop the Runway" event in New York City Monday, the 19-year-old model opened up about the bullying she experienced in high school back home in Colorado.

"I was the butt of everyone's jokes [back then]," Hill told Cosmo. "Tall, skinny Taylor."

However, the teen's 5-foot-9 frame is what helped her skip out on the full high school experience altogether. Hill signed with the IMG talent agency at only 14 years old and left school to pursue her career in modeling, according to the Daily Mail. She earned her diploma two years later.

"I didn't like high school," she told Cosmo. "I was ready. I was like, 'Put me in the world - I don't care. I'm a nerd. They don't like me there.'"

And of course, now that she's earned fame by modeling for Victoria's Secret, Balmain and Vogue, all of the boys who weren't interested in her in high school are now reaching out to her.

"Boys didn't like me then, and now they're all like, 'Hey, I went to school with you,'" she said. "Last time I checked, nobody remembers that I went to that school. People were shocked when they found out I went there. I didn't exist back in the day."

But Hill was able to rise above the bullying and has advice for younger girls who are going through what she experienced during her high school days.

"I would say that anything is possible, because I didn't always think that I was beautiful and I didn't always believe in myself," she told Teen Vogue. "I think it's so important to have self confidence and always remember who you are."
