Nintendo revealed Wednesday that it will be hosting a "Super Smash Bros. 4" livestream on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. PT. This should delight gamers because it could potentially reveal new non-Nintendo characters, such as Cloud Strife, the popular character of PlayStation's "Final Fantasy VII" role-playing game. It could also include characters chosen by fans.
The livestream, which was first posted on Twitter (see it below), will be hosted by Masahiro Sakurai, director of "Super Smash Bros.," Nintendo said in an official statement. It is expected to reveal new "Super Smash Bros. 4" characters and changes previously announced at a November press presentation. These include the character Cloud Strife and downloadable content such as the Chocobo costumes for Mii Fighters, Polygon reported.
The possible new characters to be introduced could include one of those chosen by fans in an online poll conducted last October. Gamers who cannot wait for the worldwide broadcast would have to be content to watching the trailer featuring Cloud Strife below:
The livestream can be accessed at Nintendo's Twitch channel or at Nintendo's website.
