So far this season there have been two spinoffs which have the potential to affect relationships in its predecessor:
“The Originals” with the possible relationship between Klaus and Caroline
“Ravenswood” with Caleb and Hanna’s relationship
While “Klaroline” is apparently up in the air, it appears Caleb and Hanna will be safe for now—the key words being for now.
“There’s nothing set in stone that says that anybody has to be in a relationship with anyone else,” King said according to EW’s.com Sandra Gonzalez. “I think as we’re getting to know the characters; they’re leading the way as to where we go with these relationships.”
The general belief is that Caleb will eventually end up with Miranda. However, Caleb isn’t the only one in the Haleb relationship who will have a potential love interest that’s not his significant other.
“The same goes for Hanna on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ — there’s a new character who becomes a part of her life while Caleb is in Ravenswood and we are letting those characters sort of pave the way and decide if there’s going to be a relationship there or not,” King added.
Hanna may not be coming to Ravenswood in the immediate future but viewers will see her on the show farily soon.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hanna will appear in the fifth episode partaking in a phone conversation with Caleb.
King also told Gonzalez there will not be any Hanna vs. Miranda showdowns. She added that its possible Hanna will return to Caleb’s new town of residence.
“Ravenswood” airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC Family.
