Castle’s love life may have gotten a little better now that his fiancé is back in New York with him. However, his relationship with his daughter hasn’t. She’s moved out with her boyfriend Pi and according to a sneak peek provided to TVLine.com, she’s still living with him in this week’s episode—something that has Castle pretty frustrated.
In the sneak peek, him and Beckett are doing their usually stroll-and-talk to a crime scene. During the walk, Castle begins to share his frustrations with his fiancée. He doesn’t understand what Alexis sees in Pi.
“I was hoping this whole thing would blow over,” Castle tells Beckett. “She would see Pi for the ambition-free hippie that he is and now he’s morphed into some kind of new age crusader.”
“It’s as though he has turned being a charming man child into a career.”
Beckett wittingly responds, “Now that doesn’t sound familiar does it.”
Alexis’ relationship with Pi is just one of the reasons fans may be upset with her. The other reason is she may be the obstacle that hinders something fans have been waiting for.
Molly Quinn, who plays the author’s daughter, recently said according to EOnline, she doesn’t believe there will be a Castle and Beckett wedding in the near future. She added her character could be what gets in the way the long awaited nuptials.
Castle and Alexis may not be on the best of terms right now. However, according to TVLIne, Alexis is going to help on a case in an upcoming episode. Who knows, maybe they’ll be able to resolve their issues if they work on solving a crime together.
