First Look At Alcatel ONE TOUCH POP 7 Tablet In Bright New Colors

Alcatel is reportedly planning to launch its latest 7-inch One Touch Pop tablet PC in attractive new colors.

We are getting into the habit of trusting any tips that come from @evleaks after a successful track record of bringing the most accurate information before it is officially confirmed. Yet again, the latest leaked images of the new Alcatel gadget reveal that the French mobile maker is planning to unveil a 7-inch One Touch Pop tablet. But what attracts more is the wide range of color variants that include bright blue, red, pink, and yellow, for its rear panel.

The details on the new product are scanty but the leaked snapshot shows the One Touch Pop 7 will have a default white front panel with differently-colored rear panels. In addition, the device will follow the company's signature slim design with curved corners. A front and rear-facing camera is spotted in the pic, just like the company's first One Touch Evo 8 HD tablet, launched earlier last month. While the technical details of the yet-to-be-announced device are hard to guess, we'd assume that it would follow its predecessor.

Alcatel is a French mobile making company started in 2004 as a joint venture between Alcatel- Lucent of France and TCL Communication of China. The firm has targeted the American mobile market, but mainly the entry level smartphones and tablets. Alcatel unveiled the world's thinnest smartphone, the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra and announced the ONE TOUCH Fierce and ONE TOUCH Evolve with T-Mobile, earlier this month.

In addition, the company has a product line of its own C-series smartphones, unveiled at the IFA event last month. These include the Pop C1, Pop C3, Pop C5, and Pop C7 handsets that come with basic features and target budget smartphone market. The specs of these devices vary from 1 to 1.3 GHz processors and 3-5 MP cameras.

Alcatel's previous tablet model, One Touch Evo 8, sports an 8-inch display with 1024x768 screen resolution. It is powered by 1.6 GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The device sports a dual camera with 3 megapixels in the rear and 2 megapixels in the front. The devices stores data up to 4GB but can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD cards.

These decent specifications in its first iteration suggest that the new device will carry similar or extra features when announced. Details on the availability or the pricing of the One Touch Pop 7 remain unknown at the moment.
