There are clever Halloween costume ideas and then there is this: a white male dresses up in a blackface Trayvon Martin costume, including a bloodied hole in the hoodie where the bullet would have passed his chest.
A photo of two males dressed as the dead 17-year-old boy and the man who shot and killed him, George Zimmerman, was posted online. Though a jury acquitted Zimmerman of the February 2012 shooting, the ruling outraged many and protests were held seeking justice for Martin.
Greg Cimeno, 22, dressed as Zimmerman wearing a “Neighborhood Watch” t-shirt. According to The Smoking Gun, Cimeno lives in Cape Coral, Fla., along with the boy who portrayed Martin, 25-year-old William Filene.
“Filene, who also lives in Cape Coral, was arrested in June for felony auto theft. His rap sheet also included collars for loitering/prowling and failing to register an automobile,” The Smoking Gun reports. “Filene copped to the auto theft charge during an August hearing in Lee County Circuit Court. He was sentenced to 18 months probation, and now has his own page on the Florida Department of Corrections web site”

The photo was posted by Caitlin Cimeno’s Facebook account with the caption, “Happy Halloween from Zimmerman and Trayvon.” Many commented on the photo about their disgust and disapproval of the photo, but Greg Cimeno allegedly wrote he thought it was funny.
“Not too funny. It’s f***ing hilarious,” Greg commented. Caitlin has taken down her Facebook page since posting the photo on Oct. 25.
The “blackface” Trayvon Martin costume photo has since gone viral on the Internet and many took to their Twitter accounts to comment about the costume.
“I just saw a Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman Halloween costume. That is literally beyond disgusting. People make me so sick,” @pashh15 wrote on her account.
However, Cimeno and Filene were not the only ones who have dressed up as Martin. Check out the following social media posts.
