"Saturday Night Live" just went there! On Saturday's episode, the late night variety show mocked a "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" toys commercial by adding in adults who were obsessed with collecting the toys.
All the toys in the commercial were made for children six and up, but according to cast member Bobby Moynihan, Taran Killam and Kyle Mooney, they were aged "way up." The three men played a couple of toy collectors who are obsessed with keeping the toys in proper condition.
"Leave them in the box and never touch them," Monyihan told one of the kids in the commercial.
"Just look at it," added Killam.
However, things took a turn when one of the children asked Killam if he enjoyed playing with the "Star Wars" toys with his wife, and Killam's sad expression said it all.
"Collect them all and the fun never stops," a voice over said as Monyihan put one of the toys behind a glass case as the kids looked on.
"Awesome!" he exclaimed to the camera.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" comes out on Dec. 18 and stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Adam Driver.
