Rose Siggins, who played Legless Suzy on FX's horror television series "American Horror Story: Freak Show," died on Saturday in Denver, Colo. at the age of 43, her representative confirmed. "At this time we can confirm her passing, but cannot provide any other information until we release an official statement," said Siggins' agent, James Mullen, according to CNN.
Siggins, who lost her legs to a rare genetic disorder called sacral agenesis, was admitted to a Denver hospital on Monday for kidney stone treatment, but her health deteriorated after she contracted an infection that spread to the rest of her body, which led to her death, TMZ reported.
Siggins is survived by her two children, son Luke, 16, and daughter Shelby, 5. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the kids and has already received more than $9,000 in donations.
"We are saddened to learn of the passing of Rose Siggins. She was beloved by everyone in the AHS family. She was a kind person, a loving mother and a very talented actor. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time," the network said, according to The Associated Press.
Many of Siggins' "American Horror Story" co-stars also took to Twitter to offer their condolences to the late actress.
