Amazon Releases ‘Send To Kindle’ Button on Websites for Convenience of Its Users

Amazon unveiled its new "Send To Kindle" button Wednesday that will be featured on many websites allowing Kindle users to send links directly to their device.

With the markets getting tougher and more competitive, tech giants and tablet and smartphone makers are doing everything they can to win customers over. After releasing its Kindle Fire devices at very competitive prices, Amazon has taken another step to make life easier for its users, assuring they remain loyal to the brand.

The company unveiled its new "Send to Kindle" button Wednesday. This new facility will feature on many websites and allow all Kindle Fire users to send links directly to their devices.

"Have you ever encountered news, blogs, articles and other content on the Web that you want to read but don't have time to do so immediately? The Send to Kindle Button lets you easily send that content to your Kindle to read later, at your convenience," Amazon said in a blog post.

The Washington Post, Time, and Boing Boing are a few sites that have already activated this button on their websites. Once the link is sent to a Kindle device, it will sync across all Kindle devices and apps, allowing the user to start reading the article on their Kindle Fire.

"No more hunting around for that website or blog that caught your eye - just open your Kindle and all the content you sent is right there," Amazon said. "The Send to Kindle Button is also great for those who want to collect content from the web to use in work projects, school assignments, or hobbies."

This new button will be an addition to the already existing Facebook, Twitter, or Google+, or emailing icon options seen on various websites. Websites that want to feature this button on their site can do so by downloading it on the company's website, while WordPress bloggers wishing to add this to their blogs can download it from Wordpress.org.
