Four of the most powerful female voices in comedy teamed up for an epic promotional video for the upcoming comedy film "Sisters." Tina Fey and Amy Poehler got together with "Broad City" stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer for a new video called "Sisters Helping Sisters."
In the short promo for Fey and Poehler's forthcoming movie "Sisters," Jacobson and Glazer play a pair of bad-to-the-bone sisters who are about to face the law for their crimes, like vandalism, gambling and larceny. Just when the pair of bad sisters are about to feel the sting of the justice system, Fey and Poehler float into the court room dressed as nuns.
"These girls are going to answer to a higher power," Poehler says to the judge.
Jacobson and Glazer are then taken under the wings of the nun version of Fey and Poehler, who gives the girls rosary beeds, even though Glazer mistakes them for a very different kind of bead.
"Wow, we did it," Jacobson says. "We did a Hail Mary."
"It's especially impressive considering how Jewish we are," says Glazer.
"See what hard work can accomplish," Poehler tells the girls.
This is not the first time the girls of "Broad City" have gotten some major star power involved in their Comedy Central show, of which Poehler is an executive producer. Last week, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton posted a picture of her on the set of the show, as HNGN previously reported. The show is currently shooting its highly anticipated third season, and Comedy Central confirmed that Clinton would appear in an episode, according to Time.
Season 3 of "Broad City" premieres Feb. 17 on Comedy Central, and "Sisters" is in theaters Dec. 18.
