White Collar Season 5 Episode 3 Spoilers: Meet Neal's New Love; Caffrey Makes a Mistake

Now that Sara’s gone, it’s time to get Neal another romantic partner. Her name? Rebecca Lowe.

According to TVLine.com, Bridget Regan (“Legend of the Seeker”, “Beauty and the Beast”), will begin her role as Neal’s new love interest this Thursday.

In a sneak peek provided to the website, Neal (Matt Bomer) is laying down his usual charm as he’s trying to get Rebecca to open a book. The book appears to be a pretty significant artifact.

In an interview with TVLine, Regan says her character (who is an employee of the museum where the book is being held) is “a rare book scholar” and “a bit of an intellectual.”

Judging from the video Neal’s charm isn’t really working. Rebecca shares Neal’s interest in the book but seems to have no interest in breaking the rules.

The website reports Regan will be on the show for 10 episodes. You can watch the sneak peek here.

Rebecca seems to have some major personality differences with Neal’s former love.

While they’re both beautiful, Sara (Hilarie Burton) was more of the adventurous type and a risk taker. Also, she was eventually very willing to participate in Neal’s schemes.

Based on Regan’s description of her character and the sneak peek, Rebecca will probably be more reserved. However, according to TVLine, Bomer recently said Rebecca is “like an onion, and in every episode more peels off and Neal becomes more attracted to her.”

As for the book Neal’s interested in, it will be the latest “request” from The Dutchman/Curtis Hagen (Mark Sheppard). He’s asked Neal to steal it. (Will Neal ever get out of The Dutchman’s debt?) According to the promo, which you can see below, Neal and Mozy run into a bit off trouble on the job and Neal does something he rarely ever does—make a mistake.

“White Collar” airs Thursday at 9/8c on USA.
