Anna Duggar has kept silent since her husband Josh was outed as a cheater in the Ashley Madison hack earlier this year. But in a new sneak peek for the upcoming episode of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," the mom of four sat down with TLC cameras for an interview where she spoke out for the first time, opening up about Josh's infidelity.
"It was definitely a hard thing, and I think it is such a betrayal for a spouse to go through what we're walking through," said Anna in the clip, speaking slowly and evidently holding back tears. "It was hard to realize that it was such a public thing, and so, not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal for those who call themselves Christian because here we were as a Christian couple, everyone was able to see us get married and to vow before God to be loyal to each other and that loyalty was broken."
She went on to explain that she turned to her faith in God to help her cope with the aftermath of the scandal, and her sister-in-law Jinger Duggar praised Anna for her poise throughout the whole ordeal.
"Anna is amazing," said Jinger. "She displays to each one of us what it means to have unconditional love and she's walking through this better than any one of us could have ever imagined."
Anna and Josh wed in 2008 and their ceremony was aired in a TLC special titled "A Very Duggar Wedding," as part of the Duggar family's former reality TV series "19 Kids and Counting." They share four children together, welcoming their youngest daughter, Meredith Grace, in July. After the cheating scandal broke, Josh revealed his struggle with sex addiction and checked into a faith-based rehab center in August, as previously reported by HNGN.
