NBA: Charles Barkley Thinks Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls Would 'Kill' The Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have been something to watch so far this season as they started off the season by winning their first 24 games and are now 25-1 overall. Many people view the Warriors as not only the best team in the current NBA but as an all-time great team that can possibly challenge the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls record 72 wins in a single season. Don't count Charles Barkley as one of those people though as he thinks it wouldn't even be a game if the two teams played, according to ESPN.

The Bulls went 72-10 in that season and had massive star power in Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman and Barkley believes that this Warriors team can't even dream of stacking up against them.

"That Bulls team would kill this little team. Come on, man. Who is going to guard Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan? What about Dennis Rodman? Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman let me just start with those three. First of all they would love playing the way the Warriors play. It's a much easier game now. Could you imagine how many points Michael would average if you couldn't touch him? Dennis would get so many rebounds against that team. They are a very small team," said Barkley on Waddle & Silvy's ESPN radio show.

Not only did Barkley come out with this unpopular opinion of saying a game between the two teams would be a blowout but he also went as far as to say he doesn't see the Warriors as favorites this season. Barkley still believes the San Antonio Spurs are the best team in the NBA and the most likely to take home the title despite Golden State's success not only this year but last year when they won the championship with an extremely similar roster.Barkley hasn't just said negative things about the Warriors this season though, as he said they are "carrying the NBA" in what he sees as a down year.

What this comes down to is likely not disrespect to the Warriors but instead big time respect for that Bulls team. Barkley played against that Bulls team twice while he was with the Phoenix Suns and saw first hand how good they were. We will never know what would have happened between these two great teams but count Barkley as someone who doesn't even want to entertain the discussion.
