The final season of "Glee" could be looking at some major storyline changes. According to E! News, the show is considering moving the storyline to Russia for the sixth and final season.
"We are mulling around the idea of moving Kurt to Russia," the source said adding that show creator Ryan Murphy and the production team are mulling over three possible ideas for the final season.
Besides Russia the team is also considering the final storyline to be based only in New York City, where Rachel and Santana currently live. For this season the show has been splitting time between the Big Apple and Lima. The third storyline would somehow involve McKinley High. Could producers be bringing back the final season to where it all began?
The source said that Murphy and the rest of the team have not made a final decision yet. Whatever they do decide, the source said that production will stay in Los Angeles.
Following the shocking death of actor Cory Monteith, Murphy, Brad Fachunk and ian Brennan have been trying to figure out what direction to take with this season and the next one.
It was revealed by Murphy that he wanted the final season to center around Rachel and Finn but that is also being reworked.
"The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn's story," Murphy told reporters recently. "I knew what the last shot was, he was in it. I knew what the last line was, she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we're figuring that out now."
There were also rumors that the series could be getting a spinoff. Naya Rivera told E! News that she was 100 percent on board with her character Santana getting her own show after season six.
"She can do anything," she said. "That's the beauty of Santana."
