Tuesday’s episode of “The Originals” sent Sophie Deveraux from an ally trying to do right by her sister to someone planning to kill a 16-year old girl. Yikes.
Are you no longer a Sophie fan? Or do you think her actions are justified and the spell will work?
If you’re hoping Sophie’s plans to kill Davina will change in the near future, they won’t.
“She has to perform The Harvest, if she can, because The Harvest will appease her ancestors and will also give strength to everybody,” Danille Pineda, who plays Sophie, said in a recent interview with TVGuide.com. “Our magic will then be more powerful so we can go after Marcel.”
Now that everyone knows Sophie’s plan she’ll have to deal with 1 vampire, 3 originals and 1 protective and Pregnant Werewolf.
“For the time being, her link to Hayley is the only leverage she has on anyone else. She also needs to make amends with them — that's definitely in my character's interest,” Pineda tells the website. “She wants to get on their good side or she's gone.”
I feel her only bet is to get one of the Originals to turn against their family. Her best chance will probably come with Klaus. I’ve grown to like the original hybrid but he’s proven he will turn for the right price. Her only other option may be to somehow convince Davina herself to go along with the harvest.
According to this preview posted on The CW website, Sophie seems to be pretty fine and alive in the next episode. However, her fellow witch has hatched a plan against Hayley’s baby. Watch the preview here.
