South Carolina Shooting: 911 Calls And Names Of Victims, Suspect Released (LISTEN)

The 911 calls and identities of the suspect and victims of a brutal shooting in South Carolina were released by authorities on Wednesday, CNN reported.

On Tuesday, 27-year-old Bryan Eugene Sweatt killed Richard Allen Fields, 51; Melissa Maroney Fields, 49; Chandra Marie Fields, 26; Tariq Kenyon Robinson, 11; and William Asa Robinson, 9, before taking his own life.

Authorities discovered the gruesome scene after receiving two 911 calls earlier that day -- the first about one man threatening to hurt himself, according to Greenwood County Sheriff Tony Davis.

"I'm just stressed out and about to take my life," Sweatt said to police in the first call as a woman in the background cries "don't point that at me."

"Once you see a horrific scene like this it never leaves you. It's with you day in and day out," Davis said.

After the call was disconnected, authorities immediately began driving towards the scene until they received a second call en route claiming that children from the house the original call came from left after a man was holding people hostage.

Though officials tried contacting individuals inside of the Greenwood home, attempts were unsuccessful. Members of a SWAT team eventually got inside, leading to their discovery of six bodies.

Sweatt, the suspect, was Chandra Fields' boyfriend. Richard and Melissa Fields were Chandra's parents and the two boys were her nephews.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and said it looks like a domestic violence incident.

The suspect and his girlfriend have a 7-month-old baby together, who was sent with other children to a neighbor's house before the incident got out of hand.

Greenwood is about 80 miles east of Columbia and has about 70,000 residents.
