Katy Perry has joined forces with Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, Jay-Z, George Clooney, Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire, showing her full support in re-electing Barack Obama.
Katie Perry joined hands with Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, Jay-Z, George Clooney, Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire and performed in "30 Days to Victory" concert for the President.
Perry, with an innovative idea of showing her support for President Obama, painted her nails with the President's face on a few of her fingers. The nails were also designed by blue, red and white stars and stripes. The design also included the Democratic donkey.
"Appropriate nails," Perry tweeted along with a photo showing off the manicure Pro-Obama. Later in the evening Perry also tweeted: "Today I am so honored to play for the President!"
Perry also tweeted why she would want to vote Obama.
"I sang for President Barack Obama last night because I believe in Equal Rights For All."
She also added a photo of herself, dressed in a leather jacket and a hat with the words "Equal Rights" written on her hand.
The concert attracted a huge crowd and approximately 6,000 people got together to raise funds for the President's Campaign at the LA's Nokia Theater.
Perry also performed the song "Let's Stay Together." George Clooney made a special appearance. It was also estimated that the last two events made a whopping $5 million for Obama.
Obama spoke about the performers' extraordinary effort to make it a grand success. According to The Daily Mail, Obama said: "Everybody here is incredible professionals, they're such great friends and they just perform flawlessly night after night. I can't always say the same. Everybody always remembers the victory, but they don't always remember the bumps in the road ... Things always look good in retrospect. But in the middle of it we made all kinds of mistakes. We goofed up. I goofed up. But the American people carried us forward."
