Last night’s episode of “Revolution” provided significant answers, a big reveal, and an introduction to a crazy doctor. Here are the top 4 moments from last night’s episode
No. 1—A Death Triggered Monroe’s Bad Side
Up until now we didn’t really know why Monroe turned into the tyrant of the Monroe Militia. Now we know that the death of his first child sent him down a dark path.
No. 2—Eugene Is A Traitor
At first I believed it was Rachel who turned Miles in to be killed. She hates him for causing her son’s death and isn’t too thrilled that Charlie brought him to Wiloughby to help take down the Patriots. However, it was Gene who ratted out Miles and is apparently working for the Patriots. Gene’s interaction with Truman at the end of the episode also reveals why the Patriots have not killed Miles and Rachel. Although he’s been working with the enemy, he has instructed Truman not to touch either his daughter or Charlie’s uncle.
No. 3—Neville finds Jason
Neville and Secretary Allenford finally found Neville’s son. However, Jason isn’t exactly the man he was when we last saw him. The Patriots have turned him into a killing machine by using drugs and brainwashing in the reprogramming camp. (Allenford revealed she lost her son to the same camp.) Therefore, all Jason’s thinking about is murdering his father. Tom and Jason already had a rocky relationship, so getting him back to normal won’t be the easiest of tasks.
No. 4—Dr. Horn Makes His Entrance
Dr. Horn, played by Zeljko Ivanek, made his debut at the end of the episode and his power was on display before he even appeared. When Truman told Eugene his daughter and Miles were becoming a problem, Gene mentioned Dr. Horn wouldn’t like it if Truman hurt either Miles or Rachel. Truman’s threat immediately ceased. When Horned arrived in Wiloughby, his carriage had the same Illuminati-type symbol that we’ve seen all season. Is he the Patriot’s leader?
Another moment worth mentioning is Aaron’s introduction to a member of General Carver’s press corps named Bonnie Webster. (General Carver is the leader of Texas who eventually forms a treaty with the Patriots to give them control over Wiloughby.) During a conversation between Bonnie and Aaron she alludes that someone must have tipped Truman off to Miles location. Will Aaron put the pieces together and suspect Gene? Could Bonnie become important down the line?
Also, although Monroe was “killed” during the episode, Rachel is digging him up in the very last scene. Did she have a change of heart and decide not to kill him?
“Revolution” airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
