Ravens are known as intelligent birds, perhaps even the most intelligent of all birds, and they love to challenge themselves with playing, says Environment Guru. They have even gained a reputation for solving complicated problems, so when you find one acting silly and child-like, it is endearing to see them take the time to smell the roses, so to speak.
In this sweet video, a playful raven is enjoying a tiny snowball as he rolls around in the fresh snow. Seeing the contrast of his glossy black feathers against the pure white snow is picturesque enough, but there is something about the innocence as he gently rolls around, with his snowball in his claw, working it to just the right size to hold.
The common raven is a confident, inquisitive bird, not as social as crows, says White Wolf Pack, but we believe he is preparing for some raven shenanigans with his friends.
Is he thinking of throwing it at a friend? Or flying off and dropping it on someone? Do ravens have snowball fights when no one is looking? We hope so!
