Monday’s episode of “Castle” probably produced some mixed emotions from fans. There are probably some fans who are sad to see Alexis (Molly Quinn) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) struggle in their relationship. Then there are some fans who feel like Alexis needs to cut it out already and come home. There may even be fans who are happy to see her taking a stand and demanding some respect from her father.
However fans feel one this is certain—Alexis and Castle need to make up. Alexis mentioned Castle did not tell her right away about his and Beckett’s engagement. It seems her current problems with her father have something to do with the Caskett’s impending nuptials.
Executive Producer Andrew Marlowe said Beckett (Stana Katic) will eventually discuss things with her soon to be step daughter.
“I think both girls are polite, so I don’t think fans should expect a yelling match,” he said in a recent interview with the Entertainment Weekly website. “We don’t like to go soap here — “You stole my father!” “You’re being immature!” I think we present a more sophisticated version that’s, hopefully, just as satisfying and moving.”
In a previous interview with TVLine, Katic said this matter is something that Alexis and Castle will ultimately have to deal with between each other.
“I think that this is a matter for a father and daughter, and a daughter knows that no matter what the father is, he’s going to be the same, in spite of the fact that he’s entering into a new relationship,” Katic told the website.
Quinn recently hinted to EOnline, that her character could be an obstacle to a Caskett wedding. Hopefully Alexis and Castle will hash out their issues so that doesn’t happen. Read Marlowe's entire iinterview with Entertainment Weekly here.
