A very rare hybrid type of solar eclipse will occur on November 3 and it will be visible from the Eastern North America to the Middle East.
According to Space.com, people from the eastern US and the Middle East will get a chance to see the hybrid solar eclipse. However, watchers from different areas will not see the same events. As experts say, what you will see will depend on where you are during that breathtaking moment.
A hybrid solar eclipse will begin as an annular eclipse or what they call “ring of fire” eclipse, then through its course, as the moon’s shadow moves across the Earth, a total eclipse will occur.
Experts, as the event comes closer, warn those who plan to watch the said event to be extra careful. They reminded people to never look at the sun directly with naked eye, standard sunglasses or even through telescopes or binoculars without filters. They added that if you really want to see the spectacular moment, you can use a no.14 welder’s glass or special solar filters to protect your eyes.
Watchers could also look at the shadows sieving onto the ground through the leaves of the trees as this is considered safe.
Scientists said that viewers from the central Africa will witness a celestial event wherein the sun will be covered by the moon for quite some time. While viewers in the eastern North America, Middle East and most of Africa will see a partial solar eclipse.
Interested viewers of the hybrid solar eclipse in the eastern North America may need to wake up as early as 6:30 a.m and may need to stay awake through 7:15 am as the partial eclipse happens for 45 minutes only.
