Derrick Rose Overcomes Poor Shooting, Hits Game-Winner In Knicks Vs. Bulls Game (VIDEO)

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose overcame another night of poor shooting to hit the game-winning shot on Thursday against the New York Knicks. Only two games into the season, it's become obvious Rose will need time to knock off the rust and readjust to the speed of the NBA.

Rose, as expected, hasn't looked like himself in his first two games back after missing the entire 2012-13 season. He played 34 minutes and finished with six rebounds, three assists and 18 points after going 7-of-23 from the field.

Although he's struggled from the field through the first two games, shooting just 39 percent, Rose did look like vintage Rose when he came through with the game-winning shot to lift the Bulls over the Knicks, 82-81.

With less than 10 seconds left, Rose drove to the basket and floated a tear-dropper over Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton. New York was left with 5.7 seconds left; Carmelo Anthony missed a long jumper as time expired.

"That's what builds your resume," Rose said of his game-winner, via ESPN. "Leaves a mark on your legacy."

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau commended Rose for his resolve to persevere through poor shooting.

"He showed a lot of toughness," Thibodeau said. "It was a struggle early on in the game. He found his way at the start of the third, that got him a little lift."

Rose, who was a game-time decision on Thursday with a sore neck, admitted before the game that his body still had to readjust to playing in a full-speed NBA game.

"I'm not going to continue missing shots that I'm missing," Rose said. "I work too hard."

Chicago visits the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
