Bristol Palin is officially a mommy of two! The daughter of politician Sarah Palin gave birth to her own daughter Dec. 23, announcing the baby girl's birth in a series of sweet Christmas Eve posts on Instagram.
In the first shot, Bristol snuggled her newborn daughter as she rests on her mother's chest while in a white hospital bed, still hooked up to IVs after giving birth.
"My sweet Sailor Grace was born yesterday, our family couldn't be more complete," said the 25-year-old single mom in the caption.
The second shot featured Bristol's son, 7-year-old Tripp, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Levi Johnston. In the photo, Tripp peered at his new baby sister, who was bundled up in blankets with a pacifier in her mouth.
"My heart just doubled," wrote Bristol in the caption.
Bristol announced her second pregnancy with an honest blog post in June, as previously reported by HNGN. She did not name the child's father, but she was previously engaged to former U.S. Marine Dakota Meyer. The former couple called off its wedding in May.
"I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you," she wrote in her pregnancy announcement.
Her mom, Sarah, finally spoke out about her daughter's second pregnancy in an interview with CBS News' "Sunday Morning," and she said she was supportive of her daughter as a single mother of two, as previously reported by HNGN.
"My heart goes out to the single parents, but my enormous admiration for what they're able to accomplish doing double duty. And I watch Bristol do double duty all the time with her little boy Tripp," said Sarah. "I can't wait for about 45 more days and I'm going to have a little baby granddaughter. And I'm happy about it."
