Sadhana Passes Away, Bollywood Mourns Veteran Actress And Style Icon's Death (TWEETS, VIDEOS)

Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana Shivdasani, known as Sadhana, breathed her last at her residence in Mumbai on Friday. She was 74.

"Sadhana (Shivdasani) breathed her last at her home this morning," a family friend said, according to Indo Asian News Service. She is survived by her foster daughter.

The actress of movies such as"Waqt," "Mera Saaya" and "Woh Kon Thi" was reportedly suffering from cancer. The cremation will take place on Saturday, according to NewsX.

Known for her trademark look - popularly known as "Sadhana fringe" or "Sadhana Cut" - Shivdasani had worked in hit movies like "Love in Simla," "Hum Dono," "Ek Musafir Ek Hasina," "Asli-Naqli," "Mere Mehboob," "Ek Phool Do Maali," "Geeta Mera Naam," according to PTI.

She worked in more than 35 movies during her around 40-year-old Bollywood stint. She had also earned nickname 'mystery girl' due to her work in suspense thrillers "Mera Saaya," and "Woh Kon Thi."

Sadhana, who worked with legendry actors Dev Anand, Sunil Dutt and Rajendra Kumar, will be remembered for popular songs like "Jhumka Gira Re," "Abhi Na Jaao Chodkar," "Lag Ja Gale," "Mera Saaya," and others.
